Dr. Nicole Record grew up here in Southern California. She then went to the University of Colorado, Boulder where served as a Student Athletic Trainer for both the Varsity Football and Women’s Soccer teams. She continued her education at Boston University School of Medicine receiving a master’s degree in Medical Science. After working for a year in the Emergency Department at Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts she obtained her medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Dr. Record completed her Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Seton Hall University School of Health and Medical Sciences in Paterson, New Jersey. She then returned home to California to complete her fellowship in Spine Surgery with San Diego Spine Foundation at Scripps Hospital System in San Diego. 

 

Dr. Record specializes in surgical and nonsurgical management of spinal disorders, including both the neck and back. She is well trained in minimally invasive techniques as well as advanced techniques for degenerative disease and deformity (scoliosis) surgery. Her goal is to help patients reduce pain, return to normal daily activities and improve quality of life. 

 

Dr. Record actively participates in research advancing treatment of spinal disorders which has been presented at both national and international conferences. She also has a passion for treating patients in underserved communities and has participated in medical mission work in the Dominican Republic, Philippines and Colombia.
